RFID Technology

The main purpose of RFID technology used in iEngDat is to ensure the users to scan in a correct instrument ID to prevent human error in data entry. Secondarily, the scanning must be done on the worksite so that the reading of instrumentation can be taken immediately. That will help to prevent user to run away of duty by doing the data entry at other place.

The RFID tag contain the ID of the instrument "Settlement Marker", which is attached to the instrument. Before user enter the reading shown on the instrument, it scan the RFID tag to retrieve the ID of the instrument.
